Welcome to Hospice Africa Ireland

Hospice Africa Ireland (HAI) is the Irish home of the Hospice Africa movement, which provides end-of-life care to those suffering from HIV/AIDS and cancer in sub-Saharan Africa.

Based in Uganda, the Hospice Africa movement has grown and spread to a number of other countries, and our ongoing training of health professionals means that this essential care is becoming available to more and more of those who need it most.

The Irish Hospice Foundation and Hospice Africa Ireland recently worked together on a six-minute short to explain more about what Hospice Africa Uganda’s aims and hopes are.
